Not all rugs are meant to be placed on the floor. Expensive hand-woven rugs made of natural fibers are also used as wall hangings. So, know the purpose before buying a rug and invest accordingly. Using a rug in a way that does not suit its purpose will lead to unnecessary shedding of fibers. Therefore, use your wool rug wisely.
Just because a rug looks really nice, it doesn't imply that you should forget the other components of the room. If the size of the rug is too small to accommodate the prominent furniture in a living room, it may give the area a messy look, as shown in the images above. It may seem as if the placement of the furniture is not right. The bottom line is, that the size of the rug should be big enough to accommodate all, or nothing.
Take three strips and sew their ends together and start braiding them. The length of the strips should vary because the places where the new strip is added will be different avoiding the lump of strips. When you are adding a new strip, open the end of it and also of the previous strip and sew them together and start braiding again. Continue braiding until you finish the whole fabric. While braiding, keep rolling the strips into a ball. If you want to stop in the middle and do some other work, pin the braid with a large binder clip.
Wool is a renewable and biodegradable natural resource. It is naturally extracted from animals. Wool has been the standard measurement for other fibers. Although its natural look and feel is being duplicated in other fibers by the manufacturers, the naturalness of wool cannot be replicated.
